The Utah Psychology Internship Consortium (UT-PIC) involves the following sites: Intermountain Psychiatry and Counseling – Round Valley Clinic; Intermountain Psychiatry and Counseling - St. George Clinic; Solstice Counseling & Wellness; Southwest Behavioral Health Clinic; Valley Behavioral Health; and Utah Tech University Booth Wellness Center.  Each site’s financial and other benefit support are described below.  

 

The consortium offers one year, full-time internship placements that generally start in early August each year, completing at the end of July.  Interns complete over 2000 hours over the course of 12 months, including a minimum of 500 hours of face-to-face direct service delivery.  UT-PIC is comprised of treatment centers across Utah and will provide a range of clinical and didactic experiences that represent the necessary depth and breadth required for future professional practice within Utah’s diverse communities. Interns will have a primary placement at on site and may complete minor rotations at other sites within the consortium.

UT-PIC will base its selection process on the entire application package.  Preference is given to applicants who have graduated from an APA-accredited doctoral program, but it is not required.  Minority and culturally diverse applicants are encouraged to apply.

Interns are full employees of Intermountain Health and receive the same benefits as other employees. However, rather than having to accrue time off, interns receive the following leave benefits for the year: 10 holidays (as all employees), 15 days PTO (vacation, sick, and all-purpose leave), 2 days conference or dissertation defense leave. As employees, interns are eligible for numerous other discounts, wellness, and other benefits.
